The Queens College English Department invites applications for a full-time lecturer, teaching primarily in our First Year Writing program, with some general education and upper-level writing classes. Workload: 27 hours/year, with up to 12 hours/year reassigned for administration of First Year Writing. Begins Fall 2016.
Required: Bachelor's degree in English or composition/rhetoric, and the ability to teach successfully. Preferred: Completed master’s degree and additional graduate work in English, composition/rhetoric, or closely related field; at least two years college teaching experience in first year writing; evidence of teaching excellence; experience with course development and administration of first year writing, including instructor training and assessment; sufficient background in the theory/practice of writing pedagogy to provide intellectual leadership; ability to teach general education courses.
