The journal Italian Americana is currently seeking scholarly and creative submissions for its Winter 2017 issue.  Scholarly articles in any discipline related to the topic of the Italian experience in America are welcomed (history, social sciences, literary criticism, arts and humanities, etc.), as are original works of poetry, fiction, memoir and creative non-fiction.  If submitting a creative work, the writer must be of Italian-American heritage (on either side of the family).  Italian Americana is a double-blind peer-review journal that has previously published the works of scholars such as Donna Gabaccia "and Stefano Luconi, poets Dana Gioia, Sandra Gilbert, Peter Covino and Kim Addonizio, and fiction writers Rita Ciresi and Nancy Caronia.  Submissions should be forwarded in electronic format to and must be received by October 1, 2016 to be considered for publication in the Winter 2017 issue.  For more detailed information on the journal's mission and its guidelines for authors, please consult the website:
